Hello All,

Well I was wondering who here has a 6-month Tourist visa or L visa. Anyway the conditions of this visa is you need to cross over to Hong Kong every 30 days, I have to go to HK because thats where it was issued. But I would like to know if anyone knows when exactly is your 30 days up. From the date of issue or from the date you last went to Hong Kong? And is it ok if your over the 30 days by a couple of days? Thanks for any insight into this.

From the date of issue of an L visa, you have (I think) 90 days to enter China. If it's a multiple entry visa, you have to leave the mainland every 30 days. You do not have to go to Hong Kong, you just have to leave the mainland. No, you cannot overstay your visa or you will be fined. The date you arrive is day one, i.e., you arrive on the first of the month, on the second, you have been here two days.

NOTE: This probably should have been posted on Off-Topic.
