|
|
I recently received a reply from an English school that I applied to saying that they liked my resume and cover letter and just wanted a few more things from me. One of these things is my diploma which I still have not received (it apparently takes nine to 12 weeks from graduation). I was hoping that there is an alternative to this such as my official transcripts that would work the same way my diploma would in terms of receiving a visa. |

Have some sort of certified letter from the registrar state you did indeed graduate on a certain date, and if it were me, I'd also include sealed transcripts. You may need them later in life anyway. Sometimes transcripts say one has graduated, too. |

The employer doesn't need the diploma. They can suffice with a letter confirming conferment and certified transcripts and I have yet to see a university that doesn't offer that.
You *might* get asked for the diploma by the embassy when you go to apply for the visa, but they will often accept the letter as well and might just want a visual on the diploma rather than hold a copy.
Then again, if they really insist then there are mail order places that can do one for you in under a week from Thailand and you won't be able to tell the difference from your real one... |

Do I need to get my diploma notarized or get an Apostille to receive a visa or will would my original diploma be fine?
From what I have read I don't think I need either but every page I have looked at has been fairly vague. |
