I totally agree with VS. Some of the male programs get the prime cut, while their female counterparts receive chewy, inedible leftovers from the scraps to gnaw on. But this isn't the case with every female PYP, which is why it's crucial to ask the right questions during interviews. I did and got a vision of a dish that was quite unappetizing!

Thanks VeiledSentiments and Nomad Soul for your excellent point about the difference between the male and female English language programmes:
I think this is such a shame: what have the female saudi students done to deserve a second or third class education compared to their male counterparts? Then we wonder why there is a shortgage of saudi female doctors, teachers, computer technicians, etc in the Kingdom. I am also interested to know which programmes in KSA dont suffer from this problem. |

The programs at the private unis/colleges tend to be better. Plus, there are a couple of private, women-only institutes of higher learning: Dar Al Hekma College and Effat Univ. |

For starters, check out their websites for employment info. There's also higheredjobs.com and chronicle.com for a variety of uni-level opportunities that you won't see on any of the mainstream TEFL job sites. |
