Thank you one and all for your replies, so this year is out then, yet Dave's is full of job ads for KSA, do they have a different agenda from the UAE?
About the ICELT, yes that was a fun time (not really) I was in fact coerced into taking it along with 5 other natives and a similar number of turks, who all sailed through with high grades, whereas only 2 natives survived the course and were uncermoniously given the order of the boot, not really what training and professional progression is about, but thats Turkey for you, they say the M.E is the same only worse, sounds like home from home! |

Yes, in that the many sucky employers lose teachers as fast as they hire them, so they are always trying to replace them.
Most of those you see advertising are various recruiters/contractors who bring people in to work on illegal visit visas. The main advantage of this for teachers is that you get in faster than a legal work visa and you can abscond overnight when you learn that they consider you a slave.
Better the devil you know in Turkey...
