There were packs of feral dogs roaming around Jeddah when I arrived there in 1980.
They were all poisoned or shot a few years later.

Regards,
John

I remember the packs of feral dogs on the old beach in Jeddah when i arrived there (10 years BEFORE johnslat!). Received wisodm at the time was that it was un-Islamic to shoot them. But someone did around 1980-something. Rumour is that the govt/municipality recruited a bunch of Baluchis to do it !

Dear scot47,

" . . . when i arrived there (10 years BEIORE johnslat!)."

In the future, for brevity's sake, please feel free to use the universally-accepted abbreviation:

BS = Before Slattery Very Happy

Regards,
John

Dear hashim99uk,

Unfortunately you appear to be ill-informed about the current issues in Hail.

You mentioned: "What you said about hunger strike or problems this is in 2009 with M.trading teachers"

I can confirm from a reliable source that this happened last term, in 2012, before the summer holidays.

Furthermore, problems appear to be ongoing. Recent eviction notices were issued to teachers living on the compound, by means of racial profiling.

There appears to be many good things about Hail, however it is important to mention the cons too.

regards

JK

" by means of racial profiling"
