Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum. I am an American unmarried female (with an Arab background) wanting to relocate to Riyadh.
I am completing a Bachelor's degree but it's still in process. I am however a Native English speaker and have experience in both private ESL tutoring and assistant teaching. I also have excellent references for these positions.
Is it possible to get a job in Riyadh while I'm completing my degree? (I'm taking the classes through correspondence from an actual US university, not an online degree). Will any schools hire American native English speakers without a degree if shown proof that the degree is in the process of being completed? Any known schools that you guys recommend?
And if not through teaching, are there any other jobs to take into consideration?
Thanks in advance for your help. I had an offer on the table but at the end they said they couldn't sponsor me and I'd have to find a way to come to KSA and then I could be hired, so I'm back at square one and not wanting to lose hope.
PS. I'm fully aware of the warnings about life in KSA especially for females. Trust me I'm well versed on that subject but am willing to adjust. |

You need a degree - unless you fancy working as a domestic servant. 2 years experience after graduation is also expected for most jobs. |

Yup... Scot is correct. Finish the degree and get your official US teacher's license from your state. Experience would be good too.
Tutoring and assistant teaching doesn't count for the obvious reasons.
