Hey everyone, so I recently went on a trip to Uruguay for a weekend and fell totally in love with the country. For anyone who's been to Argentina, it's basically the same country, but on a smaller scale and with much less crime, dog poop and graffiti. Let's not forget that you can actually access your US dollars from ATMS and banks, unlike in Argentina. The people are a little bit friendlier and it seems like the pace of life is generally slower.. of course, this is all just based on observations I made in one weekend.
So, the question I have is if anyone has lived or worked in Uruguay. Does anyone happen to know what it's like being there as a US expat?
I'm posting this here because there's no Uruguay forum and the Argentina forum is totally dead. |

In which there are two long Uruguay threads, one of them fairly recent.
