Interesting - but is it significant? Willl it make any appreciable difference in what happens in the Kingdom in the days to come?

Interesting, but I would say it's highly unlikely to make any real difference to the economy. After all, Saudi women have in effect been managing small (and not so small) businesses for decades.

In any case, as I've said so many times, the real restrictions on Saudi women are social rather than legal. laws like this won't (at least not in the short term) make a shred of difference to the woman who can't work because her family won't let her be in the same roon as an unrelated man. I suppose it is a step in the right direction, but I dont' expect to see Saudi ladies storming the boardroom any time soon.
