Congratulations nickelgoat! That must have been very difficult to live through. I hope you get out soon
Things with me are progressing. Waiting two weeks or so for medical results and hoping that my visa won't take months and months to get approved once I get the application in. |

ive already been through so much now this? you had to see what I went through for the accommodation....
what about if Ive been told to come back a week later. Ive turned in my documents for the iqama 25 days ago. Since that day they keep on telling me check back next week. Should I worry?
most lkely theres a fee isnt it...i got it out of this thread...i would pay for it wouldnt i????
Ive entered the country on 29th of august.
any replies would be great...
sorry for posting like this..but thanx for sharing at least this would be a wake up call IF theres any time left. I just hope I wont have to spend a penny on this thing..
edit:
CONGRATS on your iqama... i hope nothing new comes up...take care. |

A visit visa? Are you sure you don't have an employment visa? If the SACM processed your visa docs, then you're a direct hire. And you would have gone through a battery of med tests, submitted a criminal background report, etc. Moreover, a visit visa doesn't grant you the right to work or reside in the Kingdom; whereas, an employment visa leads to an iqama. Something's off here. |

Baa baa:
An employment visa is valid for 90 days; you're expected to apply for an iqama within that time frame. Maybe the '90 days' is what made you think you have a visit visa. Anyway, if you look at the visa stamp in your passport, it should state "entry visa" and not "visit visa." (That's if you have a photocopy of that page to look at since you currently don't have your passport with you.) |
