| What exactly is a part-time degree? I did mine on-campus, but it took me almost 10 years of on-off studying because I took time off to work and travel. Because I didnt always do a full course load I was able to work and study at the same time, thus graduating with no debt at all---- something very rare these days, it seems. Why would my degree be less valid than one completed in 4 years? It is the same degree, same courses. |

I would immediately have to say because you had some six years more than that to complete the same amount of work, reach the same standards, evince the same skills (call it what you will).
Besides, it is academic. My point is that it is the prerogative of the employer/nation to state that they will only accept degrees completed in fashion x, in time frame y, in country z. |

A degree completed on a part-time basis. That is, one not completed on a full-time basis. This is normally calculated by the number of credit bearing modules undertaken in each semester. |

Huh? Honestly, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard! Sure I took longer to complete the paperwork, but it is still complete AND I had an immense amount of relevant life experience in between that those who could afford to study full-time never did. The fact is, once completed, each degree can be considered equal since the same amount of work was done. Maybe if I, or others who took a similar route, took a longer time because we failed courses or were sloppy in our work then maybe I could agree that our degrees are less valuable. When I graduated with an A- average my university pestered me for over a year to enroll in their MA program--- evidence of an inferior course of study? Hardly. and in Canada, Open University courses are University transferable. I did a few distance courses to get my pre-requisites for the education program at my university.
O, Ludwig, I think you just like nit picking. Tearing people apart for no good reason seems to please you. Have you ever agreed with anyone, anywhere? |

So Ludwig von Bertie only took 3-4 years to complete his degree, and Yaramaz took a full decade. This means conclusively that Ludwig is much smarter than Yaramaz and the rest of us put together.
I think it only shows that Ludwig needs our help and, yes, love. These things were clearly denied to him in his formative years. |
