I have a friend working in Oman who needs her certificates re-attested. She has emailed the Canadian Embassy ([email protected]) but has had no reply. Are there any other contact emails? Thanks. |

Closed for the holidays ? My experience is that Embassies take local holidays AND the holidays from back home too. |

Dear scot47,
" . . . Embassies take local holidays AND the holidays from back home too."
And would you chide them for trying to be "culturally sensitive?"
Regards,

This seems a bizarre question... why would one have certificates "re-attested"? I have to assume that she is changing employers/countries?

It's apparently a new requirement in Oman when you change employers..... |

OK... no... when I went to a second employer in Oman, I suggested that my docs should already be on file with the Ministry. But they still asked for them to be re-done because I was out of the country in between. Of course, that makes no sense, but by that time I was used to the lack of logic involved here. Especially since when I got there, they never asked for them... and I never bothered to remind them.
Your friend will probably have to pay some visa company in Canada to re-do them for her.

Try - 01 488 2288 (ext 2750). This is where Ghost renewed its Canadian passport.
You may use 'Murkesh Visa Service' (mobile - 050 156 0271) to have your documents sent. They are a decent service with reasonable prices.
