Hello Everyone -
I just got offered a job in Poland.
Okay - I know nothing of Poland.
The pay will be:
2200.0 Polish Zloty
per month
That is if Im understanding the contract correct.
My question is -
- Is this enough to live on there?
- Whats price of living like there?
- Is there anyone out there that has enjoyed working there?
Ive heard very bad things about working in Poland.
But, I have to work.
Does anyone have any other bits of information they wish to throw in?
I will seriously take any and all information into account.
Thank you ahead of time for your assistance. |

We need a lot more information than that before giving you a serious answer - can you tell us -
- how old you are
- where the job is (you don't have to give us the exact location - just - is it in a big city, a small town, or what?)
- what education you have
- your experience
- do they provide accommodation?
- how many hours a week?
- what kind of teaching?
2200zl could be more than enough, or it could be terrible - depends on all of the above. |

Also important to know:
- is this net or gross pay?
- does the school provide health insurance and if so is this included in the figure the OP gave?
- when does the teaching take place (e.g. mornings and evenings, weekends, etc.)?
- where does the teaching take place? (e.g. on-site at the school or an hour away in the sticks)? |

As the OP has earlier stated that she's married to a Mexican national, it's also important to know whether they intend to come together, is this salary going to have to support both of them, and how/whether her partner can get a visa to stay in the country at all. Is the school also seeking a Spanish teacher, for example (in which case I think there would be plenty of candidates from Spain who have no visa hassles whatsoever). |

Some perspective-my rent and child support work out at 3,600Zl a month net. That salary is undoable. CNN today defined extreme poverty in the Bronx as earning less than $40 a day. Go figure. Food, clothes and electrical goods all cost the same in Poland if not much more in some cases. Going out in NYC will cost you a whole lot more tho'. :-) |

To the OP, where are you really from? For a non-native English speaker you may have problems finding work in Poland. |

On other posts she reveals that she has dependants. How could they survive on 2200 Zl a month ???!!!
I think the OP has now disappeared. |

I like how the OP sets all these rules and then disappears without so much as a single reply. Nice touch. |
