fat_chris,
A previous poster suggested that you are working in China with a religious group.
Can this be true?
Please share. |

Fascism, racism......if any of you knew anything about political history, you would also know that elements of both words have often been combined to create the spelling rascism.
I am using the spelling "rascism" very deliberately.
Sorry for posting above your heads. I forgot my audience there. English "teachers", eh?
I'll try to keep in more simple for you next time. |
Sorry for my ignorance, but shouldn't that be keep it more simple? |
silly english teachers.......it should be more simpler. |

My my, is this a potential insult possibly aimed at me?
You pro-China guys just don't like to be disagreed with, or proved wrong, do you?
Very sad, sad, sad, to infer that I'm a t**t denim maniac old chap.
That type of thing thrown into an honest debate, after I've proved my linguistic point, makes you look like a t**t rather than me.

There is a choice of more than one spelling.
Don't you know that?
Jumping in and showing your ignorance of the English language on an English teacher's forum?
How typical on the Chinese board! |
In which dictionaries is your alternative spelling acceptable? |

Is this a serious question?
You've already had a clear explanation.
Go look for examples of its usage yourself.
Seems like this thread has completely moved on from a discussion about discrimination in China to a concerted personal attack on me.
Fine.
I won't be bullied into silence by a particular clique.
Keep it coming. |

I asked a simple question. You gave an explanation, which you consider clear. However, online dictionaries and search engines, and my desktop OED, do not seem to support your point that this is a commonly known alternative.
I do not belong to a clique, I did not attack you. If you don't have an answer that is fine, but don't get so riled up. |

Ha ha ha....thanks sweetie.
I don't need to invest so much emotion dear?
I think you'll find that I'm not investing any emotion in this thread, but I do seem to be the subject of a highly emotional "feeding frenzy" launched by pro-Chinese posters.
As for my "little noggin" God love you sweetheart, thanks for the concern. xx
I'm here for you if you need me.

Fred,
You are clearly not worth debating with.
You have obviously missed the linguistic point, and simply want to "have a go" at me.
Move along now, nothing for you to see here mate. |

OK - as I thought. You have nothing to backup your stance, therefore you are getting all defensive. For the record, what you have been doing on here is not debating, its just vitriol. I hope this is not the attitude you bring into a class. |
