I've had quite a few handsome young men in my classes over the years. and, since I teach adults, there would not have been anything stopping me dating them, if both of us consented (I know there are posters on this board who would disagree, but we won't go into that).
However, it's never happened... |

| I've had several students whom I could say would be heartbreakers once they get older. I've also been in the odd position of being sexually harrassed by a final year primary school girl. |

How does one get sexually harassed by a primary student? |

My experience is not confined just to stunners or mingers. or what you, and others , perceive this to be. This is the first step to crossing the line that you yourself ought to respect. They are students and as a professional teacher you , note the modal use, SHOULD not be observing them in any way shape or form other than as a student. If you can't see past your first impressions , which have no bearing on your job, try.
This is called being a teacher. |

I rarely have a female student who couldn't be described as attractive. Stunning is rather par for the course.
Brno - the central of central europe. It's called a "golden Ship" with a golden-haired cargo.
For a while I was teaching at a military university. Being among those cute little blondie soldier girls was quite trying for me, I can tell you. The skirts were definitely NOT regulation length, either. And neither were the heart or rosie panties they'd flash ever-so-inconspicuously. You've gotta be a strong man to live through a tour of duty like that, let me tell you... |

| During my all - too - brief teaching career I've had plenty of good - looking students, and quite a few stunners. I don't really consider it a challenge to maintain a healthy distance from them, though (I mean not oggling them or anything like that). Thankfully this world has been adorned with plenty of gorgeous ladies everywhere you go! Well, except apparently Yemen, I guess I'll just stay the hell away from there. |

Having travelled all over Europe, from Portugal to the Urals, I'd have to concur that it gets a whole lot better from about Brno/Prague onwards .. and all the way to the Urals
Chacun a son gout, bien sur.. |

I am too busy to note how beautiful my students are!
If I paid them too much attention, some guy might drive a knife between my shoulder blades... |

Ummm...eijse, if your female students are all veiled, how can you possibly know if they are "mingers" or not?
I don't know about the Yemenis, but having taught in Saudi Arabia my experience is that they are actually a very good-looking people, male and female. Some of the men are surprisingly gorgeous, once you get used to the "dress and towelhead" look. As for the women, having seen so many in both their veiled and unveiled state, I can say that the latter gives no hint of the former - whcih is of course the whole point. Some of the girls who looked quite seductive in their flimsy veils were quite plain when you saw the real McCoy, and others who looked like nothing in their veils sometimes turned out to be quite attractive.
Must say i disagree with Will about it being unprofessional to notice if your students are good looking or not. Being a teacher does not entail blindness. I have fancied lots of my male students - they probably didn't even notice, or care, as most of them were bueiness men with better things to worry about. And while I dont' want to re-open that "Should teachers date students?" debate, I see no reason why you can't appreciate the attractiveness of your students - how far you or they want to persue it is another matter. |
