VS, it just strikes me as bizarre that you have never taught in Saudi; have never been to Saudi. (Correct me if I am wrong, or forever hold yer tongue on the subject of "Teaching in the KSA.") & yet you have SUCH AN INTEREST in Saudi.

Just go there and work there and then you will be able to comment. As of now, you cannot (in any legitimate way).

Hmm. I haven't yet found the time to peruse VS thousands of posts. I just assumed he (or she) had once taught in KSA since (s)he speaks with such authority.

Nope, VS has never been to or taught in Saudi Arabia. The poster goes dark/quiet when this niggling subject is brought up. Otherwise is VERY VOCIFEROUS in comments about this nation and its education system. Wink

And to think - VS gets information about Saudi Arabia from contacts who are there and from reading and evaluating posts on this forum.

Cripes - reading and evaluating posts on this forum? Now that's certainly a silly way to get information.

Regards,
John

An armchair scholar. As I said.

A perusal of the PNU threads... all dozens of them will support my comments (and Scot's). Odd as it may seem to some, research can lead to knowledge.

I read nearly every word written about PNU on this board before I came to work here. After considering the source, I made the choice to come and have not regretted it. Yeah, there's some wackos here, but the ones who are really out there don't last that long. At least that's been my observation. But what do I know, I have a really low post count.

Yes, John... there is no dealing with those that will not learn... either knowledge or manners.

VS
(BTW... snarky twins... do peruse all of my message and you will learn that you have NO idea what you are talking about... again. At no time in the last 17 or so years that I have been a member of this board have I once claimed to have ever been to Saudi Arabia. In fact, I have posted numerous times as to my reasons why I avoided it and stayed in neighboring countries.

But since you've never met me in person, you have no right to say anything about me... even if you have read all 14,000 of my messages on just this version of the board - what could you possibly know)

The only thing I have said about you, VS, is that you are not qualified to speak of teaching the KSA--having never done so. & I'll stick to this dictum.
