I'm looking for a fitness center that is reasonably equipped with air conditioning. Do they usually require a long membership or is it possible to join on a short-term basis? Thanks in advance for any replies. |

I know of a few chubby women that could benefit with a visit to the gym. Air-conditioning is a must. Try California Fitness. I have a membership there and it is quite good. |

Fred, This is like the third post on being overweight. Need some slimfast, pal? And your comment about the overweight women. There's no need to bring your mama into this, Fred. By the way Fitness First is actually much better than California Fitness. California Fitness is the cheapskate bottom dweller of health clubs fo sho. |

Yes, it is cheaper. That is why I go there. |

By the way, just how much do you pay for these fitness centres in HK? In Beijing the cost was absurd - I paid 4 500RMB for six months - absurd considering that is more than many people make in six months in Beijing. |

That is expensive. Why not just do exercise in the park. Just like Rocky! |

Physical is good.
Steam and sauna in each centre. $199 a month although i think they have a sepcial of $150 if 2 people join.
Cala, is a rip off. They over charge everyoen when they leave, ask for 5 years fees upfront.
Fitness First, don't know but the sales woman pissed me off.
Goverment Sports centres, ok but $10 an hour, Physicial works out cheaper and has steam and sauna.
I suppose another factor is to consider where you live and work, and the duration of the contract. |
