I've been concentrating on Chile.
But, Japan was always my first choice.

I've been told Japan won't hire you until you have a solid year or 2 experience which I don't have yet.

So, the other day I get contacted out of the blue for an alt position with Fifth Wings.
I started reading on the internet.
It seems people have had some problems with them.
But, people always seem to be able to get their pay from them even if its a little late.
And some people seem to feel Fifth Wings isn't always together I gather.
Thats really all I'm getting.
Even though people who have had positions at Fifth Wings don't seem to be happy with them.
But, its unclear why.

How do you feel about Fifth Wings?

If I hear from some people it may save me the headache of applying with them.

And I wanted to know if anyone started a position with Fifth Wings and used their extra time to apply to other schools in Japan that DID work out?

Not true.

This is the end of the hiring season for April. Probably someone they considered to have been a locked-down hire decided to pull out at the last second, and possibly that may have been an overseas hire, so they wanted another overseas hire to replace the original. If you took a TESOL certificate course like Oxford Seminars, then your name may be on a list of people looking for a job.

I've never worked for Fifth Wings, but people tend to gripe about employers online. They don't tend to praise them. In fact, they often jealously avoid telling others about positive experiences with dispatch companies so that lots of people don't go apply.

Fifth Wings is in Tochigi prefecture. Kind of rural, but you can get to Tokyo easily enough. If you want to look for a different employer the following year, then it wouldn't be too hard. Many of the dispatch companies now hold interviews on weekends.

Fifth Wings is not a school. It's a dispatch company. You work FOR Fifth Wings (they pay your salary etc). You work AT an elementary or junior or senior high school or wherever else they place you. In that area of Japan, usually you would be at a single school (or with a single BoE, which means that you may have a couple of junior high schools, but you just go to one or the other each day- the BoE would make up a schedule) all day from Monday through to Friday and possibly half a day on Saturdays, or else all day Saturday and have Sunday and one other day off during the week.

Thank you, I did not know that about Fifth Wings.
They 'just' contacted me.
I was trying to find information on them fast.
It makes sense what you said about the Fifth Wings.

Japan was at the top of my list.
But, I was not getting much a response in the past year.

I will ask Fifth Wings when I speak to them.
But, if anyone knows people who have taken a husband or wife please let me know.
I will be taking my husband otherwise I won't be taking the job.
