I've just accepted a position in Cuenca, ECat CEDEI. For those of you who have lived there, I would really appreciate any info you can share on housing. Is it possible to find a furnished studio/one BD apt with utilites included for $300 that's near the school? Thank you so much for any help you can give. |

I've never lived in Cuenca, but given the lack of replies I will tell you what I can.
Cuenca is reputed to be at least as expensive as Quito. In Quito you would have no difficulty getting a room in a shared house for that price. You could get an apartment in an OK area, but probably not a very popular or desirable one. It wouldn't cover utilities except water. However gas and electric are pretty cheap. I hope that's some use until you can get some better info. |
