Prove it. It seems that far too many people here have far too much time on their hands. It is a like a poor version of a high school social scene. Boo hoo this, boo hoo that. Maybe put some time into your "profession" rather than spending your life trolling through threads and using such valuable time away from your home country (where it seems you cannot go any longer) to... this is really a clinical issue for you and others it seems. Spending so much time thinking, analyzing, and obsessing about who is who, who they are, what they are "really doing" and so on. It is, on the other hand, funny to see that someone can get you so riled up over nothing. That's an ego and self-esteem issue. So, I see multiple clinical issues to be resolved.
Fact is, there is nothing that can be proven, because I haven't got a clue what you're talking about. Not only that, I don't care if I have 20 posts or 20,000. My self-esteem is not dependent on internet posting. I have a real life. |

Clearly not, as evidenced both by your obsessive need to post on this forum, and your inability to resist replying to any post that you feel threatened by. Unlike you I do not 'obsess' about what you or any one else writes here. I come here because I like the atmosphere, the opportunity to exchange opinions with, agree and disagree with other people. I like finding things out and giving advice. I fully understand that this forum is not real life, and that it has no effect on my 'real life' outside of it.
My self esteem is mostly high. Not always, but as a sane and balanced person I understand that it will fluctuate. On balance though I am emotionally mature, and rarely rely on the opinions of others to bolster my self esteem. You on the other hand. Well, I don't really have an opinion of who you are, since you lack the courage to show your true self and have to hide behind assumed names and false identities, while desperately trolling on the Internet in a sad attempt to get people to notice you. I'm guessing that your real life day to day personality simply goes unnoticed, so in a pathetic attempt to get the attention you are so desperate for you try to provoke other people into responding in any way you can. It must be lonely. I feel sorry for you. |

All of you crying "THIS IS CHINA, YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THEIR WAY OF DOING THINGS" are right, sure, but one big problem is this shit is never told to teachers before they sign the contract. It's always brought to light a few days before the holiday. At least in the 4 places I have worked so far they didn't bother explaining this or any other Chinese way of doing things. And all 4 contracts have stated they need to inform us foreigners of how things are done here.
I myself am used to this stuff of moving classes around. It doesn't annoy me that much. It's one of the less painful things about living in this country. |

Even if you were still working this weekend, that had nothing to do with the coming holiday, which is being dealt with the following weekend. Your boss probably just felt like sticking an extra day on your schedule, because he could. Enjoy the holy days  |

I don't know what Labor Day will bring all of you, but next week is a normal 5 day work week, then the following is SEVEN days! Yeah, I'll have so much energy after that to enjoy a "holiday".  |

Qingming was 4 days off with no make up. Next week the university has an activity from Wed-Fri. We are making up the Wed on this Friday. Next week will be a one day work week for me (willing to give up my friday off for that). May holiday will be a 9 day holiday (well, 5 days + 2 weekends).
I agree with the stupidity of claiming the Chinese way of doing things. Most workplaces here simply don't know what they are doing. I wouldn't call that a way of doing things, more like a lack of it. |
