Bell English - Assumption College Rama II
I've seen this job advertised. Does anyone have any information about the school? Is it a good place to apply to?

The salary seems fairly high for a job teaching 21 hours per week:
-50,000 to 64,000 Baht per month
-Economy air ticket to Thailand
-8 weeks paid holiday
-Other stuff such as accommodation on arrival and health insurance etc.

The job is obviously going to be competitive

I know it well. I know the DOS of the Bell program there and he is a good person.

The job itself is quite easy. Basic EFL supplementary classes. Assumption is one of the biggest private and oldest schools in Thailand. They have 3 campuses. It is a good name to have on your resume in Thailand as an EFL teacher.

The location of the school is not ideal. Rama II is in Thonburi or Nonthaburi (always confuse these 2). Either way its a good 45-60 minutes to central Bangkok unless you are lucky to be near the new BTS (skytrain station).

Be prepared to teach mostly teenage Thai boys, most of whom are not overly interested in English. So it may not be the most rewarding job.

Bell is the lowest program there so most of the other teachers there will be making more than you and/but have more responsibilities.

Overall, its still great pay, benefits and holidays (for what you do) with a school that should take care of you regarding paperwork.

Hopefully you are from the UK as they tend to favor UK teachers for this program.
