Has anyone heard of penniesforpapa.com and if so, any reviews? I have done a search on this forum already, and I came up with nothing. |

You don't need to pay money to volunteer teaching in Thailand.

If you have a degree, a passport from an anglophone country (or a TOEIC score over 600) and a pulse, then just get on a plane.
Now is hiring time and jobs are literally falling off the trees (school year starts mid May).
If you don't have a degree then just jump on a plane. Do be aware however that without a degree you also won't be working legally (as a volunteer or as a paid employee); means working on the wrong visa, no work permit, regular border runs at your expense, no labor protection and no benefits.
Only a FOOL would PAY to get a job in Thailand (volunteer or paid).
"Our all inclusive 30 day Volunteer package is a donation of only $1,287"
$1700 gets you a real CELTA and all the work you could want (subject to the degree issue).

Just keep in mind that there are a number of major reasons that demand for teachers is so high in Thailand.
Consider all offers very very carefully. |
