				Hello everybody

I got a job offer from University of Dammam, and wonder if anyone is currently working there. I need to know about working environment, staff, administration, students etc.

I appreciate your help

				| My understanding is that University of Dammam does not hire ESL teachers directly, but instead they have appointed Education Experts to run the ESL contract. You would be hired and paid by EdEx - which may or not be good, but I doubt it would be the same as being University faculty. |

Hi Mensch

Thanks for feedback. Do you have any idea about faculty? I presume you are in Dammam. Feel free to pm me if you like. I need to get as much info as I can about Dammam. I Understand UoD has no compound for faculty, so any idea about accommodation? |

I know Dammam is more a 3rd world city. What is about living in Dahran? Can you please give me an idea about accomodation cost of a decent 3 bedroom flat or villa there?

Thanks |

For info about living in Dammam and Dhahran, do an Internet search using: expat forum dhahran dammam. |

Dhahran consists of ARAMCO, KFUPM and the US Consulate. You have to haed for Khobar which is c ertaiblkyy more "up-market" than Dammam. More expesnive too.

If your employer expects you to deal with the accommodation, I would tell him to forget the deal. |
