I was watching a James Bond movie on tv but watching 4nic8er get trounced at linguistical chess proved to be more entertaining.
Ludwig and TeacherL, if I may ask, he said with a quivering voice, unless you have a working experience far different from what I have experienced, how the hell do you guys* find the teaching of english to be an intellectually rewarding experience? After all, you're not imparting your obvious knowledge in the classroom but enabling, like the rest of us, I'd guess, your students, to say, "I'm fine thank you, and you?"
Anyway, thanks you guys because you help me to remember that it's only when I compare myself to the other teachers that I meet in Japan that I mistakeingly believe I'm smart.

* Just a guess. but an intellectual TEFLer is rare. A female one almost unheard of.

Hmm, then why do I get the feeling you're going to be hearing from some/many very shortly?

It is not at all clear what you mean by 'grammar', nor by 'correct'.

Whose transformational grammar gave him THAT sentence?

If Ludwig did indeed study fancy grammar theory, why doesn't he know the proper use of the word "nor"?

We have a saying in America about the "pot" and the "kettle" that describes Ludwig perfectly.

TL,

Where did I say it reminds of a boyfriend? I said it's a friends car licence plates.

I don't remember saying I am a woman.

I figured you are a girl, with a name like Lindsay.

Whatever.

Cheers.

Oh, I get it! You're one of those ladyboys!

As for me being female, well if I get drunk enough, I'm anyone's b i t c h!
