I'll be leaving Korea in a few weeks and desperately want to stay in Asia to find another job. It'll be just too expensive to go back home and then try to fly out again later.
If I come to Japan as a tourist on a tourist visa (with an exit ferry ticket to Korea- to show i am here short term... even though my intentions are different), How possible will it be to find work?
I'm not intending to work on the tourist visa, i'd be hoping to look while being a tourist, and then once I find a job, i'll take the measure to get a working visa.
The problem is, I don't know what the measures are. what would I need to do? Would I need to leave the country again to get the working visa, or could they just update my tourist visa?
Where should I look?
Is this realistic at all? If it's not in Japan, could anyone recommend a nearby country that would allow this. I thought about China, but the forums seem to say its not worth the risk. |

As long as you don't work without the correct visa then the only risk would be spending your money until you find a job. Everything you said sounds perfectly fine.
It is easier to find jobs while in Japan, listings and interviews. |

If you come you will be able to find a job within a month if you are not too picky. It'll probably be a language school, but depending on your education and experience you should have no problem. |
