Hi all. Looking a jobs now and trying to figure what a reasonable salary is for Suzhou near Shangahi. I want to be able to save money while in China. Would 8000 be enough to do this if my housing is included as a benefit?
Thanks for any info you can provide. |

| A good place to guage salaries in Suzhou is www.echinacities.com. While 8K with a free apartment sounds below average for most gigs except unis, if you're frugal you should be able to live on 3K/month in Suzhou and save the rest, about 60K per year, which is a decent amount to save in China. If you have experience and can negotiate 10K with housing or 12K without, that would sound more reasonable. |
