If you are caught up in the amnesty, you are probably on
the wrong board. That's for the indentured who have been
sleeping under bridges the past months looking for their
"sponsors." Even Edex staff have it better than that. And it
is approaching 50 degrees in the western cities. |
So I'm unclear, does this affect teachers who were trying to complete a year-long contract on a series of 90-day 'business' visas? |

That is unclear to all of us... and we likely won't know for sure until July 3 comes and goes and some teachers post here to tell us how it affected them.

My research is indicating that along with this amnesty deadline, there was a prohibition on extensions of must visas--and that this has affected teachers on 'business' visas too.
However, this seems to be a one-time deal, and I haven't seen evidence of anything that would necessary derail the entire get a 90-day VISA and extend it 3 times = a single year in Saudi approach for the coming year. But the signs are a bit ominous. |
