| One of my talents is the ability to read students' handwriting upside down. Much quicker just to be able to say something like "You've got a mistake there in that second line" than have to walk round behind the student and breathe down their neck... |

Who are you scepticalbee? You seem to be dropping in on threads just to take them off track or start a fight. And yet (what a surprise) you bristle at the suggestion that you are a troll.
If you TRULY have never experienced or witnessed a teacher "breathing down a student's neck" then you have never been a student or a teacher.
So, again, I'm curious... who are you and why are you here?

Who am I? Good question... which it would take a lot of time to answer to, though... And who are you? We haven't met, yet...
"Starting a fight", not me at all but I really hate to be labeled and judged by people who think that their opinions are more valuable than others' ones just because they've been posting in a forum for years... |

| And for my previous comment, well, I was just joking that's all. Now, I can feel an overall nastiness in the tone used by the majority in here, those in fact who call themselves "helpful"... You label people of "annoying", "silly" and "trolls" who might not have been "students or teachers at all"... Waw, all this in an educative forum where we are all hidden behind fake identities. Really judgmental, pointless and quite a dumb attitude, in fact. Just call me "stupid" then, what are you waiting for? You really seem to enjoy yourself... |

| Anyway, maybe I'm not an ESL Teacher or a Teacher at all and I came here to waste my time "trolling" you because I have unfortunately nothing else to do with my pitiful life. It's certainly what you want to hear? Well, you got it... The reality is completely different, though: I came here to get some info finding the best place to take a Celta and my thread was wrecked by people who aren't "trolls". |

They even seem to chase me up in the other threads where I posted to belittle and destroy my comments in order to make themselves appear as "fantastic" and "smart". Really, I'm wondering who's the "troll" in the story...
And now, they're also "clairvoyant" reading in the past, present and future of people like me without even knowing me. Incredible... |

To get back to the thread: my other talent is to shut some bad mouths up.
This is also really useful in a school... |

| I have the opposite talent: I can get weaker learners to overcome shyness and speak up in the class. A tool that should be in everyone's kit, perhaps. |

I've always been strong in language arts, love to read, write, discuss reading and writing. I enjoy interacting with people a lot, and enjoy helping them when I can. I have a sense of humor, and can laugh at myself as well. I'm fairly extroverted. I have the ability to help people to have fun and relax and feel accepted so they can take risks in the classroom. All of these have been beneficial to me as a teacher.
I also have a list of other qualities that could fit into the opposite category, i.e. "what prevents you from being an amazing teacher?" |

| Memorizing students' names in their language (not their English names) within two weeks. My coworkers are always impressed. I don't think it is anything extraordinary. |

| That is a useful one. Shouldn't be extraordinary, but sadly, it is less typical than it should be. |

| I find it extraordinary that after a year some teachers still fail to learn their students' names. |
