RIYADH – Government offices will work five hours a day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the fasting month of Ramadan, according to a circular issued by the Ministry of Civil Services.

The ministry also said that the Eid Al-Fitr holidays will begin on Friday, 25/9/1434 AH (August 2, 2013) and work will resume on Tuesday, 6/10/1434 AH (August 13, 2013).

Ramadan in the Magic Kingdom is a different experience!
Nights will become days, and days will become nights.
I doubt if the Saudis in most of the government offices will work 5 hours a day. If you filter the real number of working hours, it will be less than that!
Some people called it the lazy month, because the Saudis workers take fasting as an excuse not to work, and the normal time for them will start from 10pm until 3am!!

Dear Wilsonthefarmer,

In my experience, many Saudis in most government offices don't work five hours a day all year Very Happy.

Regards,
John

Agreed! But the poor darlings ARE still tired and sleepy!
Must be nice not to (over!!!) work and still rake the money in.

There are actually many health benefits to fasting though it is difficult to not drink any water during the daytime when temperatures are so high and the air is dry. Goodwill to all people during this time.
