|
|
I will be graduating at the end of the summer and completing the TEFL/TESL in August. My college will confer my degree in September, however I will receive my diploma around October-January. I am afraid that I will not get an offer unless I have the diploma. My friend currently works in KSA and he is close with the hiring staff. He told me that after graduating college and completing the TESL/TEFL a job will be available. But, do I need a diploma or is a transcript enough to start the process of working in Saudi?
Thank You,
Mansoor |

I partially addressed this issue in your other thread. For an employment visa, in order to have your degree authenticated by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (U.S.), you'd need to submit an official transcript and other documentation (in sealed envelopes) from your university registrar in addition to a photocopy of your diploma. |

in order to get an offer as a direct hire, you need to provide the university with a pdf scan of your MA. The additional documents nomad soul refers to are:
-contact information
-letter stating the reason for authentication
-copy of employment contract
-copy of passport
-copy of college/university degree
-signed authorization letter from applicant allowing SACM to obtain academic info
-verification from Nat'l Student Clearinghouse
-If college/uni does not participate in Nat'l Student Clearinghouse, verification letter from college/uni's registrar office
-letter in sealed envelope from the uni stating method of instruction
-practice license from physicians
-prepaid return envelope from the USPS |

...practice license from physicians |
For clarification, this requirement applies only to medical professionals heading to KSA for employment. |
