Basically it depends how long you have worked there! Care to share that with us and then I can tell you how much you will get! |

More information would be helpful. What kind of school is it? Language, primary, high school or uni? Public or private? By "getting the sack" do you mean fired or your contract was not renewed or was cut short? |

The type of school is immaterial, the law applies to all workplaces, sadly the employers think if you are unaware of the law they won't give you anything. ıf you have worked there more than a year you are intitled to some payment. But the OP is not sharing that with us, pity! |

As far as I know, you are entitled to one months pay for each year you have been working there, although I believe there is a cap on what that amount can be.
That assumes you have a proper contract and they are paying your SSK...
There can also be a difference between what you are entitled to and what they may be willing to give you. Taking these things to court could end up being a long and expensive process. |

Thanks for the replıes
Turns out that it's 1 months' salary per year, with a 12 year cap
Fortunately, it didn't come to that in the end |

Lev is correct and the amount is set at 2.700 tl for each year worked and as far as I am aware if you worked there more than 12 years they have to pay. Someone I know was recently paid off after being employed by the same school for 22 years! |
