I have read what little I can find about this company here on the Saudi forum, but there are no posts, as far as I can tell, from any of their current/former employees. Have any of you actually worked for them before? Do you know anyone who does/has? What sort of reputation do they have? The position I am considering would either be in Riyadh or at the Al Baha University. Would be grateful for anything you could tell me. |

I would take Al Baha over Riyadh any time. Sleepy little town. Riyadh is a hell-hole. |

Al Baha University is a dusty university about 20 kilometers from the city center. If you teach at the English department you should have your own office or share it with someone of your choice. The students will show up to classes for the 1st hour or 2nd hour and not come back leaving you free the rest of the day. After two weeks they won't show up at all. Leaving you free all day except for the 1st half hour.
Baha is a town of about 300,000, it's cool, even freezing in the winter time and is at an altitude of about 7000 feet ( meters I have no idea). You can actually walk around it (unlike Riyadh). Vastly better to work in than Riyadh. |

A very good friend of mine worked for Al Jazeerah International Academy based in Riyadh. He taught for them on a freelance basis. However, direct sponsorship is a different kettle of fish. My advise is that you clarify what your working hours will be. Most language centres will insist that you do split shifts.

You will work split shifts some of the time for Al Jazeera. I know, I've seen the contract that you sign. |

If you work at Baha University you won't be working split shifts, another fringe benefit about being in Al Baha. |
