I received a contract from SBC with the company name Almadina Educational Company. Does anyone know anything about them?
Any information would be appreciated. |

Most likely the 'employer' is SBC, and there's enough info about them on the Internet and within this forum. However, how is each entity noted on the contract in the introduction? Specifically, which one is indicated in the signature block as 'employer?' |

Al Madinah Educational Company is from what I gathered an umbrella organisation. It is the name on the contract. It's kinda like how stores like Gap, Next, and Mothercare are under the Al Shayah Group. I have worked for SBC and recall that my Iqama had said Al-Madinah Educational Company.

Thank you so much for your responses Abbas and Nomad. I had read countless information about SBC but could not find much about Al Madina. A friend got online with me last night and we did piece everything together and concluded that it was all affiliated. I have traveled teaching here in the states but this is my first time teaching abroad and I am trying to get as many things clear as I can(from these posts that seems to be hit or miss). I do research things pretty thoroughly but understand that the teaching world and international travel is an entirely different experience.
Thanks again !!!

Saudi Arabia isn't always the best choice for those new to overseas travel and work. Have you looked at Oman as a possibility? |

I would go so far as to say that Saudi is one of the worst places to start an overseas teaching career - especially for females. But, that is JMHO.
Unless your qualifications and credentials are at the low end, you may want to expand your international search.
