|
|
I was just curious in wanted to take a survey. On idealista.com I am finding several 1 bedroom flats for rent in Madrid for 400-550 Euros a month.
However when looking at the forum in reading online I am told the average cost is 750 Euros.
Does anyone have a realistic range based upon using idealista or renting in Spain?
Note ( I am not referencing sharing a flat or renting a room, but an actual cost of a 1 bedroom.) |

Hello,
I just found an apartment, through idealista, in the Carabanchel barrio for 480 euro. It is a one bedroom, fully furnished, and about a 10-12 minute walk from the metro. If you're looking closer to the center of the city, it will be more expensive. Good luck. |

I plan on going to Madrid or Barcelona next year if the cost do not rise I should be able to find a modest 1 bedroom within 30 minutes of the city center in areas such as Carrabanchal, Lavapies, Moncloa etc.
I just needed to know if the prices were truly what reflected the cost of renting for Madrid. I don't mind a 20-30 minute commute my first year in Spain.
If you don't mind me asking did you rent from a landlord owner, or through a rental agency advertising your 1 bedroom?
How much did you have to pay in deposit? in did the landlord or rental agency Speak some English? |

I found the owner through idealista. The deposit is one months rent. The owner speaks a little English. He had his phone with an app and I had my dictionary/phrase book for words/explanations we had trouble with.
I also looked at an apartment with a realtor, who spoke no English. He also had an app on his phone. The deposit for that apartment was also one months rent. |

Thats a little relief good to know that not having to pay a third party or middle man. I know however there are some reputable agencies which offer their services for a fee, but if I can save paying the fee in go through a decent owner which speaks some English it would be nice. |
