For all those who keep insisting you'll never work without a CELTA, here's at least one school which posted their job a bit differently.

EU citizenship preferred, at least some experience and any formal qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language. Experience in teaching kids/teenagers will definitely be an asset. Still, we can offer plenty of guidance and help for those less experienced. The most important thing is an outgoing and extrovert as well as life-loving and people-loving personality with some interesting way of life to share with our students. As the teacher we are looking for is to run conversation classes, so the more topics you have, the better! Commitment to live in Poland and get to know life here is as well required."

Encouraging for those who are looking at getting their careers started by picking up some experience.

Interestingly, they also listed info on cost of living which does match normal costs in Gdansk.

THE COST OF LIVING: a meal in the restaurant-12-25PLN (15PLN- delicious lunches of the day near school) PLN, a beer- 6 PLN, a coke –6 zl per 2 litres, a night in a hotel in Cracow 200 PLN and upwards, bread- 2 PLN and above, a bar of chocolate- 3 PLN, shopping for food per 1 person- approx. 200 PLN weekly.

For those searching, maybe an option.

There's a meal and then there's a MEAL. The canteen places in Poz where you go in and choose from pre-cooked food cost 25 odd Zloty but a restaurant I think you'll find is different. The seafood starters were 45Zl at the last place I went to. So yes, go to Tylko O Nas in Poz and get yer kotlet, but that's the stuff I have at home. I eat out generally to enjoy something different. That costs. And, re the op, he's got 70Zl a day to live on so forget 200Zl a night hotel rooms.

BTW, if anyone knows anything about this company I have a friend looking for info on places to work in Poland.

Having someone in Radom would be neat since they manufacture the Tantal/Bery/Archerl assault rifles there and I was looking for an excuse to go visit their store.

It's in Radom? You should probably go there yourself before recommending it to other people... Smile I don't know that anyone would really want to spend a year/9months/1month/1day of his/her life there.

That would be why I am asking if anyone knows about the place.

Haha I'm from Flint wojbrian and I always tell people the same thing. It's so funny when people talk about how ugly a place is while I'm thinking "Huh...this is pretty nice...".

Yeah, I fronted it on to my friend. He'll probably apply since he's looking for some EU time. The real key will be whether they will do his visa support.

Looking at the position on the map I like the geographic positioning but love being up here by the sea.

Another buddy just committed to Libya for a year. He's already pulling in his belt a notch and was asking about Poland for vacationing after I sent him some pics from Gdansk and Malbork.
