I'm in a bit of a similar situation. Contacted a Uni. back in June. They too forever to contact me back and finally got everything settled in July. They asked me for med check in beginning of August but they had no idea and did not tell me all what was needed. My Consulate here in Los Angeles does not require health check, but the school said they needed one for the invitation letter. I had a health check done here in the states by my HMO in May and send them a copy of that. Did not include blood work or EKG because they didn't ask me for it. Its been 3 weeks and still dont know anything. Still telling me they are waiting on gov to respond. I dont know if this will materialize or what will happen. If they at least told me if something is missing I could get it to them, but not knowing at all is a pain. I would hope the gov would have rejected it by now if something was missing that they needed. This FAO is very poorly informed and green. Also, HMO dont use any seals, so mine doesnt look very official. Just looks like a basic medical print out.

I've never been asked for originals of anything except my passport once i arrived. Everything (including my passport) has always been scanned and emailed to the recruiter as part of the application process.

Is anyone else being asked for originals before arrival? This isn't the first time I've read about a school asking for a mailed original. This is strange.

Yeah, I have not really heard of anyone submitting original documents until after arrival--just scanned and emailed copies. Certainly our school/PSB whatever doesn't request things to be sent by mail at the moment.
