Does anybody know anything about Nanjing Institute of Industrial Technology (NIIT)? I am considering a job there, but umming and arring....not quite sure about it.
The contract suggests I would prepare students for IELTS exams, as well as other areas of English, but in practice will this really just entail "Oral English" lessons?
How are foreign teachers treated there? Do they pay fairly and on time? What is this "probation period" mentioned in the contract?
Do you actually get to teach meaningful things like grammar, and writing?
Or are you essentially just a "friendly foreign face?"
Seems to be very difficult - and slow, for me to acquire good information about it. Seems like it might be a tad risky to accept this position.
