Also known as the "clean" criminal background check. This is apparently now necessary for foreign teachers in Beijing, Shenzhen, Changsha and some other cities.
My question is: does it have to be completely clean? I have a DUI from about ten years ago on my record, which was not even considered a crime in China until 2011. Are these criminal background checks absolute or is there some wriggle room for (fairly) minor offenses? Has anyone else experienced any problems on the criminal background check compliance? |

Is it a crime if the party requesting the confirmation party did not consider it a crime when it happened? |

As I understand it from our international office "no wiggle room". Record must be clean from the age of 18. |
