Hi,
I'm considering a job with Shane in Zhunan, I have found some horror stories regarding this specific school. Can anyone give me any advice?
Thanks |

A terrible school to work for, one of the worst. I do not recommend Shane. There are some major threads on Shane in the Japan forums also. I encourage you to dig those threads up.
Bottom line:AVOID |

Never worked there myself, but seems to be hit and miss from what I hear depending on your branch. There are PLENTY of worse places to work as far as cram schools go. Expect 20 hours per week at 600 per hour with zero paid leave or sick days.
Best for someone just getting started in Taiwan or in ESL.
Ignore solar strength. |

I've only just passed my CELTA and was expecting something similar to that tbh. I've heard some good and some bad about Shane, just wondering if anyone had experience with this school.
I get the contract through tomorrow and will likely accept it unless there is something I really don't like in there. |

Just keep your focus on whether you want to come to Taiwan or not for now. In 1 year, you will be "Taiwan proficient" and know what you are best suited for here, or if Taiwan is not for you. Good luck! |
