Any of you folks into the Myer's Briggs personality typology stuff? I suspect that certain personality types are heavily represented on this board. INFP anyone? Or is this more of an ST crowd?

I think I'm an ISFJ, but I don't really remember what that means.

SWF, 33, red/blue, proportional.... oh wait.

The last time I took the Myers-Briggs, I was practically even between I and E, P and J, and T and F. I am an N, however. So, that means I'm either fairly balanced or non-commital.

INFP - off the planet N, moderate others. However, the test is highly situational, and should be interpreted with care! I have taken it in professional situations, as well as under the guidance of experienced M-B practitiioners and there are always caveats.

I got the same as Denise (ISFJ) but there should be caution about putting too much stock in these results. My mom, for example, anaylzes nearly every person she meets into these 16 categories and it can be a bit limiting this way.

I took the test in college as part of a career directions thingy. I got so into it that the guidance counselor suggested that I should check into being a professional.

Caveats of course, but I get irritated when people say it's the same as astrology. The whole point is that it's patterns of behavior based on our own individiual choices, but that those choices tend to be mutually exclusive. The sum total of these small, habitual choices, result in the patterns we typically see in people.

Ideally, it's a really interesting way to look at some of the building blocks of behaviour.

It's interesting also to look at the percentages. Some types are around 20% of the population. Whereas INFP is something like 2%. Of course they feel alienated!
