I came across Gouverneur agency, signed up with them and filled in a lengthy application form and did a Skype interview in which I couldn't see them. I applied for a few jobs and found their lack of communication poor. When I did get an interested family, they put me in touch with a friend of the family and I heard nothing from them despite several e mails before and after the job trial, which was awful. I had a one way ticket and struggled to get my return ticket home. No help from them at all. There are much better agencies out there, and other governesses I met who used them said the same thing. They are not helpful in my opinion, take their money from families, who are not vetted, and that's all you get... a contact. Take your chances. |

Yes- Gouvernor although they do provide work, is absolutely epic fail most of the time with communication. Last year, communication, quite frankly was a joke. This year it's a little better but honestly, by the time they had gotten back to me I had filled my schedule on my own. If I get a serious client whi wants to start NOW, I take them. Agencies dink around forever and you will sit on your open slots unless you take clients on a first come-first served basis. AnI had to laugh when they made me an offer because I had forgotten abou tthem and long since filled the opening! They had the chance to hire me SIX WEEKS AGO and couldn't get their stuff together. OTOH, Bonne are excellent and I'd go back to work for them today if they had PT, but most of their stuff is FT and live- in. |
