darn!
I don't usually take these things seriously but i have to admit that this test was the most relevant I 've taken so far....
I am an ENTP

Qualitative analysis of your type formula
You are:
* moderately expressed extrovert
* moderately expressed intuitive personality
* slightly expressed thinking personality
* moderately expressed perceiving personality |
I didn't quite agree with their analysis but the ENTP profile by M. M. Heis was dead on.... |

Apparently, I'm a ENFP with a tendancy of INOP. Whatever happened to being just a 'human'?

I remember this...yep took it in HS and in College. Funny I think my type changed since then. I guess some of your test results are really based on what your situation is at the present moment.
My results:

I know I wasn't always one of these types of people, and that its highly subjective, but dagnabbit, I like me a lot just now, and hope I stay this way..
Isn't it funny how many people here are Introverted?? |

Aramas, do you like to press wild flowers?
and in the same vein: "Yes, we're all individuals!
Of course we're still human. But there are patterns to it all man. Does having four arms just like everybody else make you less human? And the arm is composed of muscles and bones that interact in certain ways? A big part of being human is the fact that we're all swarmning around bumping into all these other humans out there. All our lives we've been making decisions in a certain way. Other people have been making them a different way. It's cool because it isn't based on religion or morality or the worth of the individual. Just on how people choose to look at the world. And of course it's tendencies. But who can deny that our behaviour falls into certain patterns?
only00D, the second slot can only be an N or an S. Comform! (just kidding, there's nothing about conformation here, it's just that there are certain rules to the system of notation) Likewise, Lanza, where'd you find an 'O?' should be an F or T in that slot.
I don't think it's a complete explanation for human behaviour. But I do think, as a theory, it is rather elegant and can describe a surprising amount of behavior with a small number of factors. Of course, all theories have holes. |

A mutant! Just kidding, loz.
I've noticed just about as many Es as Is, though I'm sure somebody will count them up and give us the final tally. |

INTP or INTJ here, depending the questionnaire (although I think I lean more toward INTP). Although I don't believe in getting too wrapped up in labels, I must admit that I've found David Keirsey's stuff helpful.
At last count, I have only two arms and no interest in pressing wildflowers, but I'll be sure to post any developments in these areas as they arise. |

I'm an INTJ.

| Any of you folks into the Myer's Briggs personality typology stuff? I suspect that certain personality types are heavily represented on this board. INFP anyone? Or is this more of an ST crowd? |
There's a lot of IN** on this board. Most SJ's would stay at home, and SP's wouldn't like the communication/langauge difficulties. (Although I bet they would pick it up MUCH faster than I can!) The iNtuitive would encourage the IN** folk to think of the possibilities a new nation and a new culture can bring.
I suspect that there are more INF* than INT* as English teachers: they are more connect with other personalities, and greatly enjoy encouraging others to learn. |

Well, a lot of teachers are SJ's as I remember, but yeah, they'd usually stay at home. I remember reading that one type, I think it was ISFP, was the most likely to wander. And Hemingway, rare among writers as an sp did lots of travelling. I remember reading about SJ's and N's as teachers. The N's can be brilliant teachers but usually feel a bit alienated among their SJ colleagues (SJ's think the N's are a bit flighty, lightweight, the N's find the SJ's a bit dull and conservative). Part of why these Tefler N's feel friction with their native colleagues?
You mean you guys only have 2 arms? How do you type? Or *beep*? |

Yeah, zaneth, I agree with the ISFP. See: http://www.traveltypes.com/article6.html . I quote:
| Quote: |
To an ISFP, the world is brimming with sensory delights. 'Eye candy' is a term you're likely to hear from a traveler of this type, as he or she is able to truly 'taste' life. The expression of this can come out in many interesting ways, but the most enticing form seems to be capturing the environment in visual art- whether that be photography, painting, or graphic design...
ISFPs make great travel partners because of their delight in new experiences and cultures. It's important, though, that a companion realize ISFPs need plenty of downtime- they are not likely to tell you so themselves.
They may just slip away for awhile, or say "I'm going to go explore on my own for now" as a tactful way of reenergizing away from the stimulation of a conversation or crowd. Moreso than many of the introverted types, their need for seclusion is vital to allow them time to absorb everything they have taken in.
There's the key word for you, ISFPs! Absorb. Like a sponge, sometimes it's necessary to wring out all that has been accumulated. Creative expression plays a very important role in this. Detailed journals, jam-packed sketchpads, quality cameras; some or all of these will be found on the ISFP person. Friends are fortunate to be invited to share these travel memories. No humdrum vacation slide show here!
Where does a person of this type gravitate to on a trip? Wherever fresh and appealing sights, sounds, and other stimuli can be found- from a slight distance, if possible. Sometimes this gap may create an aloofness that others misinterpret, but never forget that the ISFP is a feeler at heart. |

The final paragraph:
| Quote: |
| If you are an SJ, you may do it because you want the school to run well. It's your job to help that happen. If you are an NT, you want everyone to be as competent as possible. If this helps, why not? An NF will be most attracted to using type theory to make things better in the teachers' lounge. As an NF you are driven to make positive changes in people. If you are an SP, you'll do whatever it takes to get the show on the road. Onward and upward! |
