This school is being run my its investors who know nothing of education. They fired a tenured 20 year principle for asking them to allow parents to see their qualifications. I and 4 other teachers have quit due to the lack of professionalism and they made me pay 20,000 RMB for my release letter and letter of recommendation. They are holding their teachers captive. The Jiao sisters, all three of them, are unprofessional and have falsified credentials in order to lure students in. I have never received my deposi,t and after paying a large sum during my probationary period, it was only through a lawyer that I was able to leave. She stated that I was the best teacher they have ever had, but couldn't let me go due to her financial commitment to the school. The school has four business professors and one English teacher. She then quoted, "I have to report all his misbehavior to Chinese government foreign expert office." after helping a student write his college entrance exam, claiming it was against school code to contact students after I left.

Stay away from this dirty family who are tarnishing the CIE name!

Just to clarify...

Were you forced to pay 20k to obtain your release letter or was 20k the penalty for ending the contract early?

You could probably buy a whole new identity for less than 20k and start over again!

I don't really understand the OP, maybe it's me. Hard to make sense of what the problem is.

Whose qualifications? The investors?

Why did you need a lawyer to leave? Go to the airport and get on a plane. She's already reporting you to the government for the other "misbehavior".

OP- Was this your first job in / experience of China?

It sounds like you've had a stressful (and expensive) experience. Having a big falling out with a Chinese employer, in China, where maybe you don't know the language and don't have a lot of support, can be difficult...

But if you really think that people should avoid this school, would it be possible to give this another go, and explain the problems and their misconduct calmly and coherently. Any details you can give may be helpful to people in future.

I hope that you're ok, and have got another job or plane out of the country sorted, depending on what you wanted.

Is this a new school in Daqing? I spent some time there and have never heard of this school.
