I was listening today to my chinese students give short presentations , and many of the weaker ones had a distinctive speech pattern or habit of pausing-uh in the -uh wrong-uh places in sentences, and adding a strange guttural sound (like 'uh') at the end of many words.
I cannot name this problem , so cannot search myself for remedial exercises. If anyone could help me diagnose it and point me in the right direction of resources and solutions , that would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect this could be a problem specific to Chinese speakers, but to be honest, I think I am more likely to get serious answers here than on the China teaching forum.

I've only heard it from Chinese students; I don't know how to "fix" it. If I can understand them, I figure I'm ahead of the game.
