Does anyone have any advice on how to finding tutoring positions around krabi or Phuket areas? I've made fliers and a website and attempted to go around to hotels and businesses without much luck. Any advice would be extremely helpful! |

Hello there,
My advice is just contunue knocking on doors if teaching in Krabi or Phuket is what you want and don't give up trying. Competiion is stiff in these two areas in Thailand due to the fact that tourists and backpackers from Kaosan Road want to teach by the beach too in Southern Thailand. Another option is to advertise yourself in the Bangkok Post and Nation newspapers. Of course you could also try ajarn.com or teaching thailand.com as these websites have a list of jobs teaching English in every province in Thailand. Remember that TEFL wages in these areas also tend to be lower than Bangkok as costs of living are generally less. Also remember that a lot of jobs in the hotel businesses in Southern Thailand are seasonal so don't expect a long term contract. Good luck in your search in the LOS! |
