| I like your posts, choudoufu, but you know, everyone who comes over here, even someone who is 100% legal, is taking a chance, what with all of the upfront expenses. We all do our best to look before we leap, but if it does not work out, and you need to bail, you will be out at least the cost of an RT plane ticket, as it is not always easy to move to another school. |
Well said. I started out legit, ended up in a crummy place, in a dodgy school and had to bail early. I took a nice loss, but it's finally come full circle. Took a while, but it has finally happened. I can only wish the OP the best. |

its a pain in the rump and no mistake. Honestly your best bet is this: go find a courier who can do all this for you. They know the game and can jump through the right hoops to get you this done quickly. Good luck, was in a similar spot in thailand just last month. Had to send it back to the uk to get it done and when i did the embassy were a nightmare. I got knocked back three times. once for the reason you gave: they wanted another invitation letter (which confused my people too), second was they decided they werent processing any express visas that day, and no i couldnt just process it at normal speed. And the third rejection was because i was applying from outside the UK. In all three instances the dude handling it for me went the extra mile to make sure he was prepared the next time. So on the fourth shot of it, having rejected it three times already for spurious reasons they relented and processed the damn thing. Lucky too, after a 2 month process of eating into my only cash flow (my credit card), i would have been forced to eat the debt, get another job in thailand and walk away from the whole process. I really was that close. I was probably on the backup of the backups backup by the time they finally relented. |
