Hello!
Anyone heard of this place?
Are they a "good" place to work for in terms of management, pay, facilities...etc... Generally, I would like to know your opinion of Simul academy?
Thanks! |

I worked there a couple of years ago, for almost 10 years. I liked it there a lot, but it has changed a great deal since I left. It was taken over by Benesse Corporation (owners of Berlitz) and a teachers' union was formed which is associated with the Berlitz union.
Are you interested in the Corporate Training section or the Academy? They are separate, or at least they used to be.
Simul used to have a very good reputation for teaching high level, advanced learners and is most famous teaching interpreting and translation. The English program is content-based and uses newspapers and CNN/BBC news videos. Even though they have their problems and I personally wouldn't want to work there any more, I think it is still a good place to work and is certainly a step above the average "Eikaiwa". |

I heard that they have "on site" positions...where they send you to the clients office...and last I heard, the salary was 4500yen per hour...
so all-in-all I was sure what to think about them...
I appreciate any tips |

It sounds like you are talking about the Corporate Training Center, not the academy. Have you already got the job? Is it part time? What kind of tips do you want? Interview tips or tips once you land the job?
