My employer has given me a very attractive summer option (last day of class is July 20th and starts back up in the last week of August)...

Basically, if I register in any legitimate Japanese school in Japan for the duration of the summer holiday, they will pay my full wage.

I've been looking for a school that will take short-term students (maybe like a vacation/study or intensive-study program perhaps... Or one that is willing to custom-tailor a month-long course for someone). I would like to be somewhere very close to the water.... E.g. Anywhere in Chiba or Shizuoka... Basically I would like to have my free time to do some surfing whenever I'm not in class or studying...

Here are the questions I'm trying to get answered:

1. Does anyone have any leads for me given my above blurb? 2. Any experiences good/bad with JPN schools? 3. What should I look for in a school & why?

If you can advise me in any of these 3 areas, I'd sure appreciate it.

Cheers,

JD

P.S. Since I've been saving up for summer, I can probably afford to spend (no more than) the equivalent of a month's wage on my adventure -- that is: tuition, accom., food, etc... I have my own transportation (and could even camp if I really had to... to save money). |
