|
|
Hi,
I was told by a friend recently that China now requires a background check for teachers. Anyone know if this is true? If so should I begin processing the paperwork if I'm interested in going there?
She seemed convinced that you needed a CRC, but I was told by another friend that this wasn't necessary. |

Look down the page. Already discussed. In fact there are about 10 threads on this topic in just the last few months, and the search function is up and working. |

Innocent until proven guilty has no stance around here. Those that explode a new thread on this topic clearly have something (someone) to hide. |

So we are happy with another (and another and another) OP on
'Is it OK to come to China on a tourist visa?'
I too am losing patience with repetitive posts on subjects that have been covered literally in the days prior. |

Surely some of these crotchety-old-man responses aren't necessary? If you are rolling your eyes at yet another inquiry about something that has been asked a dozen times in the past, why not take a moment and link to a former thread concerning the same topic to help out the newcomer? Or if that's too much for you, why not bypass the thread altogether instead of making some snarky response?

Here is what you'll find on the other threads, OP:
Do I need a background check?
1. Yes
2. No
3. I know somebody who did.
4. I know somebody who didn't.
4. I'm in charge at my school and the teachers did.
5. I'm in charge at my school and the teachers didn't. |

Same info that is relevant today. You need what they ask you for, and that can change any day at any place.
In other words, no answer to this. Ask whoever is getting the paperwork processed. |

If they ask you for it, you need it. If they don't, you don't. |
