I've been working in Laos for a year now and I find it a great place to work, but I never see any posts about working here on Dave's. Anyone else here? Schools are popping up all over so I assume others must be teaching here as well.

I like Laos. That would be a nice place to be.

Well, it's pretty laid back and quiet (as anyone who's been there can imagine). My school is pretty well resourced though lacking in activity books. We have a computer lab, library, and DVD room for the kids. After working in Korea, I find my life so much more enjoyable both in and out of school. Even if things are a little tough in school one day, when you walk out of the school the people are so friendly that you can forget your stress. No place is perfect, of course, but I've spent a very happy year at Panyathip as the Principal and am going back for another.

I'd be really interested in hearing more e.g. salary ranges, job availabilty, cost of living, etc.

I've lived in Thailand for a while now and always love going up to Laos. I'd be much more interested in looking for teaching work there rather than Thailand.
