Do you, when in Saudi ? It was always a working day in my years there - unless it fell on a weekend.

My daughter has a small and rather sorry-looking artificial Christmas tree in her bedroom. Crying or Very sad

I don't celebrate it in the US, so it never mattered to me that it was a workday in the Gulf...

I'm going to take in my xmas mix cd and ask to play it instead of the moaning guy who sparks up at 12 and 3pm. You reckon they'll go for it? Just for a change?

Back in my Abqaiq days xmas eve did fall on a Wednesday (start of weekend then) and a few of us went round to a fellow infidel's place and got smashed on homebrew and Sid. This was just before the invasion of Iraq and security at Aramco facilities was on ultra high alert as Al-Q said they would attack, so the town was effectively on lock down and crawling with cops and military. Somehow, in the early hours, I walked back to my place (a good mile) and have absolutely no recollection of it whatsoever, but for sure the cops must have checked out the shambling wreck staggering up the sandy street. Maybe they even gave me a lift? I woke up on xmas day at about 4pm with the worst headache of my life, brain bouncing off skull. I've never drunk Sid since.
